Brown Trout season is in full swing with reports of fair to good fishing along Manistee's shoreline. Mixed bags have been reported with all 5 sportfish species being caught in the last couple days. Some sizeable Browns up to 16# have been taken along with some low teen Kings and nice Lake Trout which can be kept this year due to a change in the DNR regulations opening the season on April 1st. There are still a couple of weeks to take advantage of this great fishery so call your member captain now and join the fun! Check out this Manistee master angler Brown caught on 4-18-11.
