Manistee, Michigan is consistently one of the most productive port on the Great Lakes from spring to fall. We have two river systems, the Big and Little Manistee. Both rivers produce the majority of natural fish that enter Lake Michigan, and in addition the rivers recieve supplemental plants of salmon and trout. The proximity of Manistee offers great structure, just 3 miles offshore, we have a sharp drop off, this steep sheer sets up an area which holds fish all year long. This is one reason Manistee Michigan is home to many fishing tournaments and state records.
The old time charm and beauty of the 1800's comes alive in Manistee's Victorian Village shopping district. Our newly contructed Riverwalk is also in the Historic Downtown. Enjoy hourly Tours of the City of Manistee available May-Sept. Enjoy a trolley ride or tour Manistee which includes downtown, historic homes, beaches & Orchard Beach State Park.
You'll enjoy a stroll down our Riverwalk, see ships pass by, enjoy our many restaurants and pubs with outdoor seating. Downtown shops and Marinas are also nearby.
